Beautiful Angel Skin coral round, Tulip and stick beads combine in this necklace. At center is a coral branch sided by faceted Sapphire rondelles. Moving out from center, round beads, then Tulip beads, then branches. The necklace is 17.5 inches long and ends in a gold fill lobster clasp.

Angel Skin coral is the most sought after coral for jewelry along with Mediterranean coral, among over 7000 species. The lighter color, a lovely mottled salmon pink, is thought to be from an albino-like disorder in a species that is normally red. It cannot be fished any more, so I found these beads in vintage necklaces. As such, they are not new beads and show some wear.
Angel skin coral is a type of coral highly valued for its delicate pink or peachy coloration. It is a type of precious coral that is typically found in the waters around Japan and Taiwan. The coral gets its name from the soft, almost angelic hue of pink that is reminiscent of a blush or a fair complexion. The soft color of angel skin coral makes it a popular choice for feminine and elegant designs. Due to its popularity and limited availability, angel skin coral is considered a precious and valuable gemstone.
